2 videos to get you started with Business Analyst

The Higher Education group at Esri Canada has created two new video resources to introduce you to Business Analyst Online and Business Analyst Desktop. Find out about the powerful business and marketplace insights you can gain using Business Analyst through these videos.

In the last couples of weeks, we produced two webinars that focused on Business Analyst Online and Business Analyst Desktop. Using two different case studies, we illustrated how these applications can be used for market evaluation and site analysis purposes.

The webinars are now available as video recordings. The description of each video is provided below:

Evaluating market potential with Business Analyst Online covers the following: This video will provide an introduction to Esri’s Business Analyst Online (BAO). A hosted Web application that is intended to assist those working in a variety of sectors, including realty, retail planning, economic development and marketing among others, to visualize and evaluate potential sites for expansion, consolidation or investment. During this session, you will see how BAO can be used to perform a market evaluation for a new business venture based on a sample case study.

Evaluating market potential with Business Analyst Online.

Site expansion potential with Business Analyst Desktop covers the following: This video will provide an overview of the capabilities available within BAO. A business-centric application built on top of ArcGIS for Desktop that includes a suite of tools for identifying and evaluating existing and potential business locations. The session uses a sample case study of a restaurant chain seeking to expand in St. John’s, NL. To illustrate the power of Business Analyst, you will see how a user can quickly set their analysis extent, add store and customer information for comparison against competitive listings, and perform a market and site analysis to assist in making informed business decisions.

You can find both of the videos and other useful resources on Esri Canada's Lesson Planner.
