Check out the latest ArcGIS resources created by Esri Canada’s K-12 group. Use them in your classes in September!

A new school year is underway and it’s a great time to try new ArcGIS resources. The K-12 group have created these resources that cover relevant topics, and a few were used in summer education workshops for teachers.

GIS for Retail
In this Career Path Series lesson, you will get a snapshot of how a retailer uses GIS to view and analyse sales data of their stores to make informed decisions for their business.

GIS for Municipalities
In this Career Path Series lesson on GIS for Municipalities, you will get a snapshot of how GIS is used to make informed decisions about public transport to ensure sustainable use of this mode of transportation by its citizens.

Tutorial

Trade Area Creation and Sales Mapping
In this tutorial, you will learn how to display sales data and create trade areas at the Canadian census dissemination area (DA) level of geography. This is part of an upcoming Career Path Series lesson on GIS for Retail.
