Stay up to date with GIS best practices by transitioning to ArcGIS Pro

ArcGIS Pro has been around for a few years now. Many ArcMap users have successfully made the switch and are proud to have taken the time to learn to work better in ArcGIS Pro. If you haven’t migrated from ArcMap to ArcGIS Pro yet, it’s time to start your ArcGIS Pro learning journey to stay current on GIS best practices. To help you with that and make your transition a success, let’s review the available resources.

When people ask questions about the transition from ArcMap to ArcGIS Pro, they often ask about the licensing options for ArcGIS Pro. In a web-connected environment, ArcGIS Pro can be activated using the user’s identity in the ArcGIS system. This is new compared to how ArcMap was activated. Once your installation of ArcGIS Pro is ready to use, take the time to learn about it before trying to complete the same workflows you used to use in ArcMap.
