Introduction to JavaScript

JavaScript is the technology of choice to develop responsive and interactive web applications. Within the Esri platform, you will need to use JavaScript to create stunning web mapping applications in the ArcGIS API for JavaScript. In this course, you will get an introduction to the JavaScript language, as well as an understanding of development environments, debugging techniques, syntax and code structures. After completing this course, you will have the necessary prerequisites to attend the Building Web Applications Using the ArcGIS API for JavaScript course.

Image Analysis with ArcGIS

January 26-27, 9am-5pm (MT)
Learn best practices and workflows to enhance visualization and extract meaningful information from satellite imagery, LiDAR and other remotely sensed data. This course covers dynamic raster processing options available in ArcGIS and takes you on an in-depth exploration of image classification. You will use three classification methods to categorize land cover features and learn how to determine which method is appropriate for a given project and dataset.

ArcGIS Pro: Essential Workflows

Extend your foundational GIS knowledge, get comfortable with the ArcGIS Pro application and explore some of the most common GIS workflows. This course introduces techniques and best practices to map, manage, analyze and share data and other GIS resources. Hands-on exercises will give you the experience needed to efficiently work with ArcGIS Pro.

Anneliese Sanghara is a Marketing Communications Intern with Esri Canada. As part of this role, she reviews and develops content for the company’s various marketing channels and provides support for several communications programs. Along with her Honours Bachelor of Arts from the University of Toronto, Anneliese attained a Master of Professional Communication from Ryerson University. Her many teachers and mentors sparked her passion for strategy, writing and design. In her spare time, Anneliese enjoys exploring the city, honing her culinary skills and volunteering.
