What’s New in ArcGIS Drone2Map (June 2022)
ArcGIS Drone2Map v2022.1 is now available, and we are excited to share all the new features and enhancements with you!
This release implements a new processing engine based on Esri’s SURE technology for significantly improved quality of the 3D point clouds, 3D Mesh generation as well as visual detail in the orthomosaics.
Field Apps Licensing Changes in 2022
From ArcGIS Field Maps being released as the all-in-one map centric field app for mobile teams, to location sharing becoming a capability available in ArcGIS Field Maps, ArcGIS QuickCapture, and coming soon to ArcGIS Survey123, there are a lot of new and exciting things happening in Field Operations. To support these changes our licensing is evolving and if you are still using ArcGIS Collector, ArcGIS Tracker, or ArcGIS Explorer there hasn’t been a better time to migrate.
With the June release of ArcGIS Online and the July release of ArcGIS Enterprise, we will introduce a few licensing changes for our field operations apps. If you are involved with the administration of licensing for your organization, it would be helpful to review this help documentation.
Consider ArcGIS Enterprise 10.9.1 until you’re ready to turn it up to 11
Get excited – ArcGIS Enterprise 11.0, part of the ArcGIS 2022 Q2 releases, will be available soon! In anticipation of this release, take time to prepare by making sure your organization is ready to upgrade to ArcGIS Enterprise 11.0.

Prepare for the retirement of ArcGIS Dashboards Classic
After several updates of ArcGIS Dashboards, the time has come for ArcGIS Dashboards Classic to retire. For ArcGIS Online users, ArcGIS Dashboards Classic is currently in mature support and with the Fall 2022 update, it will be officially retired. For ArcGIS Enterprise users, ArcGIS Dashboards Classic is set to be retired in ArcGIS Enterprise 11.0.
Several Legacy Boundary Layers to be Retired in 2022
In July 2022 and December 2022, several legacy Boundary Layers, which have been in mature support and not actively maintained, will be retired. Once these layers are retired, they will no longer be available to use. If you are using one of these layers, you should switch to the equivalent layer in General Availability. If you are not sure, keep reading.
Notification: Old Esri Vector Basemaps will be retired in 2022
Esri’s vector basemaps and styles are organized by version number. Currently, version 2 (v2) basemaps are updated on a regular cadence. Earlier versions are available but no longer updated. Find out which versions will be retired and will no longer be available to use in maps and apps.
Developers: Required update to ArcGIS location services
On January 27th, 2021, new ArcGIS location services and pricing were released. If you have developed an application that uses ArcGIS Online services other than the new ArcGIS location services, you may be required to update your applications before April 30th, 2022, or December 31st, 2022.
ArcMap Continued Support
ArcGIS 10.8.2 is the current release of ArcMap and will continue to be supported until March 1, 2026, as established in the ArcGIS Desktop Product Life Cycle. This was a maintenance release only and does not include new functionality. This update does not extend the ArcGIS 10.8.x product life cycle. Esri does not have plans to release an ArcMap 10.9. The ArcMap Continued Support page, will be able to answer your questions regarding continued support of ArcMap as well as contains resources to help you transition your work moving forward into several Esri products such as ArcGIS Pro.

Map of the Month: Watersheds within the Matawa Homelands and Traditional Territory
The Matawa Homelands and Traditional Territories are in northern Ontario and are home to the nine member First Nation communities of the Matawa Tribal Council. This dynamic map shows the magnitude of water within the homelands and is integral to communicating the powerful message that “Water is Life”. The focus at Four Rivers, Matawa’s environmental services department, has always been to deliver innovative solutions that keep their communities' vision and values as the focus. This map aims to support Matawa’s language revitalization goals as well as their environmental stewardship priorities, combining language and water into one creative piece while highlighting the Ojibway translations for each watershed and First Nation community.
