Improved Mass Property Appraisals Now Possible with Assessment Analyst – GAMA
First technology to combine location intelligence with CAMA to improve appraisals
Niagara Falls, ON, IAAO Conference–September 9, 2019 – Esri Canada is excited to announce the debut of Assessment Analyst® – GAMA, the world’s first Geographic-Assisted Mass Appraisal (GAMA) system which has unprecedented analytical capabilities for real-time, uniform valuation of properties.
This deep platform has evolved from traditional CAMA and when combined with GIS, has resulted in the best of both standalone systems. Assessment Analyst – GAMA integrates CAMA with GIS natively into a single system, combining spatial data with advanced analysis, giving richer, more equitable valuations.
The fourth most populous county in the United States, Maricopa County in Arizona, a leader in their use of GIS with CAMA and a long-time Esri partner, wanted to employ a cloud-based solution with both geospatial data and workflow actively integrated into the user experience. The Maricopa County Assessor’s Office will be the launch customer for Assessment Analyst – GAMA.
“This next-generation Geographic-Assisted Mass Appraisal solution, slated to go live in August 2020 will allow us to enhance both employee and constituent experiences while keeping our office more transparently engaged with other government entities. Our work with Esri Canada is leading edge in the industry and brings benefits to many agencies in the greater Phoenix area,” says Eric Bails, CTO for the Maricopa County Assessor.
“It’s important for assessments to be uniform and this new system allows people to standardize workflows for more consistent, uniform outcomes and that makes for higher efficiency,” says Managing Director, Assessments with Esri Canada, Michael Lomax. “GAMA allows better collaboration, task assignments and process follow-up using an integrated workflow engine to accomplish much more.”
How GAMA can help you:
Conduct in-depth searches - Search an area, land or parcel characteristic using selection sets, sales history, comparable sets and other tools.
Access property details - Explore parcel summary, ownership details, building and improvements, characteristics and more.
GIS-centric sketching - Sketch directly inside a GIS environment. Use aerial photography to conduct change detection to locate new property assets.
Built-in valuation - Specific workflows in GAMA can be configured to the organization, team or individual users’ level.
Comprehensive auditing - Value properties accurately and consistently in a repeatable manner to ensure uniform and fair valuations using Cost, Income, Market or Regression approaches.
3D visualization - Visualizing properties in 3D enhances appraisers’ ability to conduct fair and accurate assessments.
Assessment Analyst - GAMA is built on ArcGIS, the world's leading geographic information system from Esri. Many assessment authorities have seen a 9:1 ROI from Esri Canada Assessment solutions.
