Every year, we receive dozens of wonderful entries to the Esri Canada Map Calendar Contest, and the 2024 contest (held in 2023) was no exception. This year, we had an especially difficult task set out for us: how can we best commemorate Esri Canada’s upcoming 40th anniversary—which is also the 25th anniversary of the Esri Canada Map Calendar? We wanted to celebrate these incredible milestones while also showcasing the cutting edge of cartography in 2024.
Our solution? Combine the best of Map Calendar winners from the recent past with the top selections from our 2024 Map Calendar Contest. We hope you enjoy revisiting some of our favourite maps from the recent history of the calendar as well as our contest winners from 2024.
