How to join data with Data Engineering
Joining layers or fields is a common and critical part of the data engineering process. But it can sometimes be challenging to investigate and evaluate the success of the join. With Data Engineering in ArcGIS Pro, this process can be much more effective and enjoyable.

FAQ:  How to work with numeric fields in Data Engineering
In your work as GIS professionals, you have the tremendous power to visually represent the way the world works by creating a map. A key aspect of how you do this are the various numeric fields that contain data that represents complex topics. These numeric fields are some of your most important building blocks: when used properly, they can capture the information needed to analyze, understand, and map. When used improperly, they can obscure important patterns or even misinform.

Make a painted basemap in ArcGIS Online
There is an undeniable charm to a map hand painted onto paper. The texture of the fibers, the irregular splaying of pigment. The handsomely imprecise lines drawn by a human hand. You just want to feel its weight, trace your finger over interesting places, roll it up, and take it with you.

Add emphasis to your map using your data's values
This blog will bring to light a few techniques on how emphasize your thematic maps’ data values in ArcGIS Online’s Map Viewer. There’s also a related blog about bringing focus to your maps by adding emphasis to your area of interest.

How to use beta Living Atlas basemaps
Living Atlas basemaps are updated frequently and continue to evolve. The latest additions are considered to be in beta and are not part of the default Esri basemap gallery, or discoverable via the basemap categories at the Living Atlas website. Map of the Month: Barrow's Goldeneye Habitat Quality Model
Habitat quality models are used to direct inventory tasks in habitats that are considered to have the highest potential for the targeted species. They help control the threats coming from eventual changes to these habitats. This map illustrates the case of the Barrow's goldeneye (Bucephala islandica), a sea duck species that is in a precarious situation and is deemed a priority. In addition to showing the different potential habitats of the Barrow's goldeneye in the Saint Lawrence estuary, the map also illustrates certain information and data used to calculate the model, such as elevation, species occurrence and forest stands.
