What's New for 3D Analyst in ArcGIS Pro 3.4 
The 3D Analyst extension offers new and improved capabilities in ArcGIS Pro 3.4.  We’ve added new toolsets, enhancements, and bug fixes to improve the ArcGIS 3D Analyst user experience. Read the article for a rundown of what’s new in 3D Analyst. 

Introducing: Item Classification in ArcGIS Enterprise 
Does your organization’s data management policy require you to identify content which may contain sensitive information? Maybe this content can only be accessed by certain members of your organization or requires special handling in terms of storage, processing, transmission, and destruction. ArcGIS Enterprise 11.4 has new functionality to help you identify this content: item classification.   

2024 ArcGIS Online year in review
Many new features and capabilities were introduced in ArcGIS Online during 2024. Here's an overview with links to all the details. 

Refining search capabilities in ArcGIS Instant Apps 
Almost every ArcGIS Instant Apps include a search tool so users can find addresses and features in the app. By default, the search tool is configured to search all sources in your orgranization. You can fine-tune the search options to find only the most relevant results. This blog demonstrates three common ways to refine search functionality so your audience can easily discover the right information. 

Edit data offline with ArcGIS Workflow Manager 
At ArcGIS Enterprise 11.2 and ArcGIS Pro 3.2, ArcGIS Workflow Manager introduced out-of-the-box features to edit layers in disconnected or connectivity-limited environments. With the addition of two new step templates and enhanced capabilities with the Open Pro Project Items and Cleanup steps, editing layers could now be handled seamlessly offline! 

Web maps—the foundation of ArcGIS web applications 
This article demonstrates how to create a custom web app, based on a web map configured in Map Viewer, that adds functionality not available in Map Viewer or other configurable ArcGIS apps.

The November 2024 release introduced several new templates as well as a handful of exciting new features to existing apps. This blog highlights one of our brand new templates: Compare. 
 
What's New in ArcGIS GeoAnalytics Engine (December 2024) 
The ArcGIS GeoAnalytics Engine 1.5 release brings a variety of new functionality and enhancements to improve your big data spatial analysis workflows. This update includes a new tool for analyzing movement patterns between entities (Find Co-Travelers), as well as a new set functions for working with motion data using the track data concept. We are also expanding the variety of spatial formats and programming languages supported and adding API keys for authentication to improve security and governance for your GeoAnalytics Engine deployment. These new features bring more of Esri’s industry-leading geospatial analytics capabilities directly to your big data – in a data lake, data warehouse, or ArcGIS.

What’s New with the ArcGIS Geocoding Service? Explore December 2024 Updates 
It’s been a productive year for the ArcGIS Geocoding service team. The team is constantly working on making improvements and helping our users optimize their work. Whether it’s boosting accuracy, broadening global coverage, or launching additional features, the goal is to ensure the best possible experience with the geocoding service. 

Topological editing enhancements in ArcGIS Pro 
This blog highlights key topological editing improvements in ArcGIS Pro 3.4. These new features apply to both map and geodatabase topologies and allow you to choose how you visualize and interact with topology edges and nodes while editing in the map.  

What’s new in ArcGIS Enterprise 11.4 on Kubernetes 
Esri has released ArcGIS Enterprise 11.4 on Kubernetes! It follows the recent release of ArcGIS Enterprise 11.4 on Windows and Linux. ArcGIS Enterprise on Kubernetes is available to Esri customers through an annual subscription license. It runs in your environment and follows cloud-native software patterns to deliver high availability and scalability. 

Use advanced calculation options in ArcGIS Business Analyst Pro’s suitability analysis workflow 
As part of the November 2024 release, ArcGIS Business Analyst Pro has an updated suitability analysis workflow. The suitability analysis workflow analyzes and scores sites that meet specific criteria. 

What’s New for Spatial Analytics across ArcGIS (Q4 2024) 
Spatial Analytics and Data Science capabilities across ArcGIS have been enhanced with new tools and optimized experiences. Do more to account for uncertainty within data in ArcGIS Pro, streamline repetitive analysis tasks in ArcGIS Online, and leverage ArcGIS for Microsoft Fabric to process large datasets. Read on to learn about these updates and how they can help you unlock new insights from your data while improving your workflows. 

Versioning tab updates in ArcGIS Pro 3.4 
Starting at ArcGIS Pro 3.4, the Versioning tab is contextual based on the map contents—this means it will be available if your map contains layers from a data source that supports versioning.

Hot Tip: Use images as point symbols in Map Viewer 
When styling point symbols, you’ll find many different symbol styles to choose from. The built-in symbols are organized into categories that organize them for easy browsing and selection. In addition to the built-in symbols, you can upload and use any PNG, GIF, or JPG image to add custom symbols to your maps, delivering a unique look and feel.
