K-12: Connect and Innovate at the GIS in Education and Research Conference
Join us at the 6th biennial GIS in Education and Research Conference on October 16, 2025, hosted by Esri Canada at the University of Toronto, Hart House. Whether you’re just curious about GIS or already using it in your classroom, the conference is a great opportunity to learn, share and grow.
No matter what you teach, note the 5 reasons K-12 educators should attend this event.
- Discover innovative teaching tools that bring geography, science, history, and more to life through real-world data and mapping.
- See inspiring examples of how other educators use GIS to foster student inquiry, critical thinking, and community connection. You can also share what you are doing with other educators.
- Get hands-on with powerful tools like ArcGIS Online, ArcGIS StoryMaps, and ArcGIS Survey123 through the ArcGIS workshops. Don’t forget to bring your own laptop or tablet to get started.
- Connect with a supportive community of educators and GIS professionals who are eager to exchange ideas, resources and collaborate. Meet the Esri Canada Education and Research group that supports K-12 educators in Canada!
- Leave with ready-to-use resources that you can use right away that align with curricula across Canada and promote spatial thinking.
