School’s around the corner and we have new ArcGIS teaching resources for you to explore and integrate into your classroom in the fall. Check out these interesting maps and activities that will help engage your students and foster critical thinking.

To view some of these maps, you must sign into your ArcGIS Online subscription. If you do not have an account, fill out the online form to request access to one.

Esri Press Books
Browse the latest Esri Press books that you can use in your teaching this school year. If you would like to evaluate any of the books in the Esri Press catalogue for use in your courses, you can request a complimentary desk copy by filling out this online form. You may request up to three books at a time, once every four months. You will need to know the part number for each book you’re requesting. It can be found in the PDF version of the catalog, directly below the ISBN. If there is no part number for a particular book then it is not available through the desk copy offer.

Angela Alexander is a K-12 Education Resource Developer on the Esri Canada Education and Research team. She has over six years of experience working with educators across Canada. Angela is responsible for producing geographic information system (GIS) and curriculum specific resources, conducting and creating custom workshops for educators and judging and developing the question for the annual GIS Skills Ontario competition in Waterloo, Ontario. Angela has a Bachelor’s degree in Geography and Sociology from the University of Western Ontario and completed the Applied Digital Geography and GIS certificate program at Ryerson University.
