Books are excellent resources to help you learn more about GIS and to find useful activities that you can incorporate into your classroom. Find out how you can order Esri Press books to use in your teaching.

It’s time to start planning your summer reading list, and there are a number of geographic information system (GIS) and mapping-related books that you may want to add to it. Learn more about GIS and mapping and incorporate new activities into your teaching in the fall.

Start by checking these new books published by Esri Press:

Getting to Know Web GIS, by Pinde Fu, is a workbook with detailed, step-by-step exercises that teaches readers how to share resources online and build Web GIS applications easily and quickly.

If you would like to evaluate any of the Esri Press books for use in your classes, you can request a complimentary desk copy by filling out the online form.  You may request up to three books at a time, once every four months.

Make sure to include the part number for each book you are requesting. It can be found directly below the ISBN. If there is no part number for a particular book then it is not available through the desk copy offer.
