Included in the first release of the app are a collection of the most popular solutions released in June for these industries: Coronavirus (COVID-19), State and Local Government, Public Safety, Utilities, Defense, Business, and Conservation and Protected Area Management.

ArcGIS Experience Builder Update Available
This June 2020 release includes animation; windows; data views; Bookmark, Card, and Divider widgets, the ability to populate image widgets with feature attachments from Collector or Survey123 apps, and more.

ArcGIS StoryMaps Update Available
This July 2020 release includes navigation options for collections, basemap flexibility in a guided tour, transparent panel styles in sidecar, map designer enhancements, swipe block with images, and more.

ArcGIS Field Maps beta program is now live
On June 18th we introduced ArcGIS Field Maps and the beta program is now open for enrollment. Once inside the beta program, the “Getting Started” section will provide you with links to download the Google Play and iOS builds.

In the new user survey, you fill out when joining the beta program, we’ll ask you to provide an ArcGIS Online Subscription ID. This is required so that we can unlock access to the ArcGIS Field Maps web app for testing. If you use ArcGIS Enterprise exclusively, you can still join and test the mobile apps. The Getting Started section will walk you through how to register the ArcGIS Field Maps mobile app with your ArcGIS Enterprise portal. Join the ArcGIS Field Maps beta program

A new update to HTML rules in ArcGIS Hub is coming September 2020
The ArcGIS Hub and ArcGIS Enterprise Sites team is making important updates to the Site runtime about your text card, header and custom footer HTML. These updates have begun in ArcGIS Online and will reach ArcGIS Enterprise Sites at version 10.8.1.

ArcGIS Online will enforce HTTPS Only for all organizations in December 2020
The ArcGIS platform uses HTTPS (Hypertext Transfer Protocol for secure communication) as a key component of its security for web and service API connections. This includes connections between our software, such as ArcGIS Desktop and ArcGIS Enterprise, with ArcGIS Online. Esri will be enforcing HTTPS Only, without exception, in December 2020, to increase the security of the ArcGIS platform.

Important Update for Enforcement of HTTPS in World Geocoding Service
Esri will be enforcing “HTTPS Only” in the World Geocoding Service on September 8, 2020. This important security update is likely to affect some ArcGIS software and custom solutions. Esri customers will need to act now to be ready for this change. “HTTPS” has always been an available URL for the World Geocoding Service, since the service debuted in 2012. With the upcoming update, the “HTTPS” URL will be enforced as the only available endpoint. Customers will no longer have the option of submitting requests to the “HTTP” URL. This update is in addition to the “HTTPS Only” enforcement that is planned for ArcGIS Online on December 8, 2020.

FAQ:  What's Coming in ArcGIS Excalibur 2.0?
The new additions to Excalibur create an even more streamlined workflow for your imagery, and include updates to imagery project workflows, enhancements to the way you can create reports derived from imagery and the ability to publish hosted imagery.

Hot tip:  Presenting breakdowns by race/ethnicity (or any groups) in your maps
Organizations worldwide are working to eliminate inequities, and mapping is a big part of that work. For example, if you’re working with health or economic data, you probably want to address the differences by occupation, age group, sex, race/ethnicity, veteran status, or educational attainment.

Instead of making a separate map for each and every group, you can present the breakdowns in one map
