What's new in ArcGIS Field Maps (May 2022)
The May 2022 release of Field Maps introduces support for contingent values. Contingent values are commonly used to model natural classifications (trees, plants, wildlife) or material classifications for assets (poles, pipes) and can dramatically improve the efficiency and accuracy of form data capture in ArcGIS Field Maps.

What’s New in the ArcGIS Solutions April 2022 Release
In addition to many enhancements to existing ArcGIS Solutions, there are several new ArcGIS Solutions now available including Broadband Outreach, Civil Support, Electric Overhead Inspections, Pipeline Referencing Foundation, and Sewer Manhole Inspections. CityGML to ArcGIS: Update on CityGML toolset to import 3D city data in ArcGIS
As an active ArcGIS Pro user, you may already be familiar with our approaches to working with CityGML in ArcGIS. CityGML is an open data model for storing city-related 3D geospatial data in an XML-based format. Many cities manage their 3D city models in the CityGML data structure, which serves numerous purposes from land use planning to solar cadastre. For ArcGIS users who want to publish, use, and analyze data from CityGML in the ArcGIS platform, Esri has collaborated with con terra to extend the toolset to provide a more convenient workflow.
2022 Imagery and Remote Sensing Trends in the GeoINT community

Vector Basemap Deprecation Notice Affecting ArcGIS Runtime SDKs 100.5 and Earlier
Beginning September 1, 2022, vector basemaps will no longer work correctly in applications using ArcGIS Runtime SDKs 100.5 and earlier. The application itself will continue to work, but the basemaps will not display correctly. You will see gaps and extraneous lines in the basemap.
ArcGIS Pro 2.9 Patch 3 (2.9.3) Announcement
The ArcGIS Pro 2.9 Patch 3 (2.9.3) is now available for download from My Esri. To download Esri software, go to the My Organizations tab, then click the Downloads sub tab. You must have Download software permission in order to access the Downloads sub tab. If you do not see this sub tab, you may need to request permissions.
ArcGIS Dashboards Classic is Retiring
With the March 2022 release of ArcGIS Online, ArcGIS Dashboards Classic will move to mature support, and will be retired in the September 2022 update. For ArcGIS Enterprise users, ArcGIS Dashboards Classic will be retired in the ArcGIS Enterprise 11.0 update.
Notification: Old Esri Vector Basemaps will be retired in 2022
Esri’s vector basemaps and styles are organized by version number. Currently, version 2 (v2) basemaps are updated on a regular cadence. Earlier versions are available but no longer updated. Find out which versions will be retired and will no longer be available to use in maps and apps.
Developers: Required update to ArcGIS location services
On January 27, 2021, new ArcGIS location services and pricing were released. If you have developed an application that uses ArcGIS Online services other than the new ArcGIS location services, you may be required to update your applications before April 30, 2022, or December 31, 2022.
ArcMap Continued Support
ArcGIS 10.8.1 is the current release of ArcMap and will continue to be supported until March 1, 2026, as established in the ArcGIS Desktop Product Life Cycle. Esri released ArcMap 10.8.2 in December 2021. This was a maintenance release only and does not include new functionality. This update does not extend the ArcGIS 10.8.x product life cycle. Esri does not have plans to release an ArcMap 10.9. The ArcMap Continued Support page, will be able to answer your questions regarding continued support of ArcMap as well as contains resources to help you transition your work moving forward into several Esri products such as ArcGIS Pro. Map of the Month: McIntosh Run Singletrack System Trailhead Map
The McIntosh Run Watershed Association (MRWA) (est. 1994) is a voice for the McIntosh Run, its tributary waters and the land within its watershed. Having been mandated to protect this wilderness and make it more accessible to the local community, MRWA built and now maintains the McIntosh Run Singletrack System. The system has over 23 km of trails, spans from Spryfield to Herring Cove and provides a sustainable wilderness experience to trail users, all with the aim of inspiring understanding and appreciation of this diverse landscape within suburban Halifax. This trailhead and the associated waypoint maps throughout the trail system were designed to help bikers and hikers navigate the rugged granite outcrops and enjoy the scenic wilderness.

Community Map of Canada – Style of the Month: Imagery Hybrid
Get the best of both worlds. You no longer have to make the difficult decision between the accuracy of the Community Map of Canada or the crispness of imagery. May’s style of the month overlays the Community Map of Canada vector data on the Esri Imagery basemap. This style is also now a standard style you can select from your basemap gallery.
