Canada launches 2016 Arctic Survey in support of UN continental shelf submission
The federal government announced the launch of Canada’s 2016 Arctic expedition to collect bathymetric and geophysical data about the shape and composition of the seabed to support Canada’s submission on the extended continental shelf in the Arctic Ocean.

Geoscience BC announced the launch of its largest airborne magnetic survey to date, the Search Phase II survey, which will produce high-resolution maps used to identify hidden mineral potential in west-central British Columbia.

The Real Time Assessment and Planning Tool for Oregon (RAPTOR) is now available for the public to view incident data about wildfires, areas impacted by flooding, live weather radar, contact information for county emergency managers and more. RAPTOR is a web mapping application that allows users to spatially display interrelated and aggregated information from various systems in a geospatial platform.

An ArcGIS Earth overview at version 1.2
ArcGIS Earth is a lightweight, easy-to-use globe viewer that lets users interact with a variety of GIS information. Earth is now at version 1.2.1 and has had three full production releases on the quarterly production schedule. Esri intends to continue to rapidly release the application to efficiently respond to customer feedback.
