How to Upload your Data to the GIS Validator

The NG9-1-1 GIS Validator performs over 600 tests against the layers and attributes required. This free app was developed in partnership with the Emergency Services Working Group (ESWG) specifically for emergency services data providers like local government.

Ensuring high quality public safety data is a high priority for governments that are heading into this NG9-1-1 transition.

“The GIS Validator app provided a better understanding of our data and the NENA data model. It will allow the District to continue maintaining the datasets required by NG9-1-1, which includes attributes not required by NENA, without the need for a schema change or additional datasets.” - District of Summerland

Features:

  • Free and easy to use
  • Downloadable scorecard and detailed list of discrepancies
  • Unlimited uploads/testing to ensure your data matches the NENA standards.

Please Note: Your data is not retained

In this video we go over how to upload your data, the validation process and the reports that are generated.
