Another year of GeoSnaps flew by and we are so thankful for all our Esri Canada staff who step forward to create these videos. They turn complex spatial ideas into engaging, accessible stories. We are highlighting some of your favourite videos of 2025 and giving a shout-out to some GeoSnaps we think are worth your time.

If you’ve been following along, GeoSnaps need no introduction. But if this is your first time discovering them, welcome! GeoSnaps are bite-sized technical videos that spotlight a single idea or tip using Esri technology. In 2025, Esri Canada experts created an impressive lineup of GeoSnaps that resonated with our community and quickly climbed the view charts. How to identify classic Esri StoryMaps in your ArcGIS Online account
Classic Esri Story Maps are on their way towards retirement. With the Q1 2026 update of ArcGIS Online (currently scheduled for February 25, 2026), they will no longer be available to viewers. You can use the retired apps cataloger created by Esri to identify any items in your organization that are on their way to retirement. Check your organization now to see which items need updating before the next release of ArcGIS Online.
