Join your fellow GIS professionals at the 2024 Esri User Conference (Esri UC)
Submit your images: GIS images can include screenshots of your best maps, cartographic data displays, applications, and 3D visualizations. Submit by June 6 for the chance to be featured during the Plenary Session.

ArcGIS API for JavaScript, Version 3.x Retirement
ArcGIS API 3.x for JavaScript will be retired on July 1, 2024.

ArcMap enters Mature support on March 1, 2024
ArcMap has entered the Mature Support phase of its product life cycle on March 1, 2024, marking the end of software updates and patches. Now is the ideal time to transition to ArcGIS Pro if you haven't already made the move. We have curated several resources here to help guide your migration journey.

ArcGIS 10.8.2 is the current release of ArcMap and will continue to be supported until March 1, 2026, as established in the ArcGIS Desktop Product Life Cycle. This was a maintenance release only and does not include new functionality. This update does not extend the ArcGIS 10.8.x product life cycle. Esri does not have plans to release an ArcMap 10.9. The ArcMap Continued Support page, will be able to answer your questions regarding continued support of ArcMap as well as contains resources to help you transition your work moving forward into several Esri products such as ArcGIS Pro.

Map of the Month: Watersheds within the Matawa Homelands and Traditional Territory
The shared Matawa Homelands and Traditional Territories in northern Ontario are home to the nine-member First Nation communities of the Matawa Tribal Council. This map shows the magnitude of water within the homelands, communicating the powerful message that “Water is Life” while supporting Matawa’s Anishinaabemowin language revitalization goals. The focus at Four Rivers, Matawa’s environmental services group, is to deliver innovative solutions with community vision and values at the core.

This map was originally published in the 2022 Map Calendar.
