Land claims in the Yukon spell out how regional First Nations, the Government of Yukon and Yukoners are to work together in creating a plan for their region. Today, the Dawson Regional Planning Commission is working with the Tr’ondëk Hwëch’in First Nation and Government of Yukon to create a regional plan for the Dawson Region. This map was created to depict the region’s caribou herd ranges and is part of a larger collection of information about the region. With this map and others in hand, the Commission is beginning to make land and resource decisions leading to the overall plan.
