N G9-1-1 call routing requires authoritative GIS data. As identied previously, this data must meet the current and future standards being developed for common civic addressing (CLDXF- CA), and the mandatory layers of the NG9-1-1 GIS Data Model. Based on CRTC directives and ESWG guidance, GIS data is ultimately maintained and provisioned by local government authorities (LGAs) / 9-1-1 Authorities or their designate(s), with ownership remaining with the original (authoritative) data provider. Local authorities / 9-1-1 authorities, as data providers, must collaborate with partners to: • Adopt a standards-based NG9-1-1 GIS Data Model • Use GIS data validation tools • Use secure methods for data provisioning to their aggregator, and • Ensure processes to resolve GIS data discrepancies within the 72-hour update timeline per NENA NG9-1-1 Data Management Requirements [7] With the understanding that your agency needs to ensure current, secure, accurate, complete, reliable, standards-based GIS data that is easily integrated, Esri Canada has developed the Public Safety - GeoXchange™ (PSGX). Producing High Quality, Consistent Results Step 4: Create and Share Public Safety Grade GIS Data The PSGX is designed to streamline the ow of Public Safety Grade GIS data for NG9-1-1 in Canada, with the following participants in-mind: PSGX for Data Providers The PSGX simplies the development, testing and the submission of Public Safety Grade GIS data to the appropriate aggregator. The goal is to improve data quality and eliminate duplication of effort, thereby enabling local governments to update their data more quickly and efciently. • Offers more efcient methods of exchange and notication • Securely access the PSGX Data Provider portal to upload data • Performs quality checks ensuring data meets NG9-1-1 standards • Provides quality control reports for review and correction • Automatically imports data from the provider's secure data site PSGX for Data Aggregators When lives and property are at risk, having complete, current, accurate and authoritative GIS data is critical. NG9-1-1 will elevate the quality, consistency, and currency of the GIS data and map outputs used in Public Safety applications. The PSGX performs dozens of QA / QC checks on the submitted data and automates the processing, aggregation, and validation of GIS data, ensuring compliance with the NENA GIS data standards. • Enables the aggregation, validation, and output of NG9-1-1 geospatial data in standard-compliant formats and services to support NG9-1-1 call routing • Tracks changes from each provider and document submission details • Eliminates manual error checking and validation • Encourages collaboration and provides feedback to data providers • Supports continuous improvement in the quality of GIS data Don't just meet NG9-1-1 standards — exceed them. Embrace the future of public safety data management with PSGX. Explore the Public Safety - GeoXchange™.
