Open Data 2.0 - Thinking Beyond the Data Download

December 1, 2016 Ayan Talukder

Municipalities, regions and provinces are key contributors to the success of Canada’s Action Plan on Open Government.

In this webinar, we’ll review how you can use ArcGIS Open Data to set up public-facing websites where people can easily find and download your open data in a variety of open formats. Moving on to ArcGIS Open Data (2.0), we will show you how to elevate your open initiatives by extending the value of data (beyond the simple download), promoting re-use and redistribution, and enabling universal participation.

This session will show how you can enhance accessibility and transparency by enabling greater information sharing, public dialogue and collaboration. Whether you already have an existing Open Data site or are looking to set one up, there will be valuable information to get you started or enhance what you are already doing.
