Underground cables and their components are subject to aging and deterioration with an associated risk of failure. Reliability analysis and geospatial mapping are powerful tools for operating crews, planners and asset managers. This map is a preliminary reliability analysis of the underground cable network and supports asset managers in developing an optimal maintenance strategy. Cable failure patterns can be studied in relation to age, insulation condition, location and affected customers. Data shown in this map is for demonstration purpose only.
