For several years, the geomatics department at the Société des établissements de plein air du Québec (Sépaq) has produced maps for 800 moose hunting areas. Created through in-depth analysis and a thorough user assessment, the maps present various elements that could contribute to the success of a hunt such as; topography, hydrography, forest cover and kill sites from past years. The data used to produce these maps is updated annually to ensure hunters have the latest information. The maps are greatly appreciated by hunters and have quickly become an indispensable tool.
