This map illustrates the First Nation communities in northern Ontario and the treaties associated with each community. It was created to act as a conversation piece for regional gatherings, conferences and workshops where First Nations from across the region come together to discuss current issues. This map allows First Nation community members to see where other communities are located in relation to them, which helps in discussing both their similarities and differences. It also helps individuals outside of northern Ontario understand where these First Nation communities are located in relation to familiar landmarks.
