A community forest is a forestry operation managed by a local government, community group or First Nation for the benefit of the entire community. The Dunster community forest is located 3 hours east of Prince George, BC. This map was created to help illustrate the potential location of mature pine for harvesting. It displays locations of areas that limit the availability of timber in the timber harvest land base. Terrain operability, old growth management areas and visual quality objectives are all values considered when determining potential harvest sites.
