February 1, 2016

Month: February, 2016
Organization: Ontario Ministry of Natural Resources and Forests (MNRF)
Products: ArcGIS Desktop

This map shows how fragmented areas of natural cover across the settled landscapes of Southern Ontario form a connected system of core areas, corridors, riparian linkages and adjacent areas of natural cover. This mapping facilitates and supports the analysis and reporting needs of multiple organizations and agencies. It informs decision-making in several areas, such as land use policy and climate change adaptation strategies. The thematic data on this map was designed to meet the needs of individuals with a colour vision deficiency.
