"The term digital
transformation conjures up a
myriad of images in our mental
landscape – mobile, cloud,
big data, analytics and so on.
It's not easy to define digital
transformation in today's world
where processes and platforms
are being continuously disrupted
by something new and better.
However, in the context of the
business world, we can say that
digital transformation is the
use of digital technology to
fundamentally change how an
organization runs, how it reaches
customers, and the products and
services it provides.
One of the key enablers
of digital transformation is
location. Or location technology.
Or geospatial technology. In
other words, technologies and
concepts that enable location
intelligence. An organization that
values location enables customer
engagement, decision support,
field mobility, superior analytics
and data management. Location-
based tools for advanced analytics,
mobility, cloud computing and big
data advance an organization's
digital strategy.

Transformation
