TRAINING Frequently Asked Questions Q: Do I need Esri software installed on my computer? A: No, Esri software is installed on remote machines. All you need is Internet access. Q: Do I need to install any other software on my computer? A: No, but you will need to download a small file to your desktop to connect to the remote machines. Q: Will I receive a hard copy of the course workbook? A: No, a digital copy of the course workbook is made available for download before class. Q: How do instructor-led online classes differ from traditional classroom classes? A: The virtual environment provides all the benefits of a traditional classroom: live instruction, interactive participation, course material and data. The only difference is that you are not physically in the same room with the instructor and other participants. Q: Are instructor-led online classes cheaper than traditional classroom classes? A: The cost for virtual classes and traditional classes are the same. However, there are no travel costs for virtual training such as commuting time, airfare, hotel and meals.
