Overview The Esri Canada AVL is an enterprise management and operations solution. Built on Esri's GIS platform, ArcGIS, the solution efficiently monitors and manages your summer and winter maintenance vehicles. The Esri Canada AVL provides: • advanced real-time vehicle tracking • route status reporting • salt and sand utilization reports • historical playback The AVL is a hosted solution that offers access to a wide range of basemaps, the ability to integrate your map layers, and open access to data from desktop and browser-based applications. It also leverages ArcGIS Online to analyze, publish and share AVL content with others inside and outside your organization. If you already have ArcGIS, this solution seamlessly integrates with your existing infrastructure. Data generated from the solution is stored as a layer in the geodatabase, which can be visualized and further analyzed by ArcGIS and Esri partner solutions. Why implement the Esri Canada AVL? • Hosted solution – The AVL is a hosted solution which means there's no need to install software or manage updates on local computers. • Seamless integration with GIS – If you already have ArcGIS, this solution seamlessly integrates with your existing infrastructure. • Improve safety – Know where your vehicles and employees are in the field. • Regulatory compliance – Produce reports that meet environmental regulatory requirements. • Operational efficiency – Using ArcGIS for Desktop and data generated by the AVL solution, you can analyze vehicle and salting activities for cost management and operational efficiencies. • Route optimization – Using ArcGIS for Desktop and data generated by the AVL, you can analyze historical route patterns and vehicle performance to identify alternative routes and new routes.
