Postal Code Extension • Note: e Postal Code Extension refines the mail delivery point down to a specific block or building. Postal Community Name • Note: e name of the postal community for a postal code. Province (A1)* e province or territory the address is located Room A room within a building Seat A seat within a building Street Name e name that identifies the street • Note: is excludes street type, any direc- tional prefixes or suffixes, and street name articles. Street Name Post Directional* A direction that follows the street name Street Name Post Modifier A following word (or phrase) modifying the street name and separated from it by a street type suffix (or a directional suffix or both) • Example: the word "Extension" in Market Street Extension. Street Name Post Type* A descriptor following the street name • Note: Do not use abbreviations. Street Name Pre-Directional* A direction that precedes the street name Street Name Pre-Modifier A preceding word (or phrase) modifying the street name and separated from it by a street type prefix (or a directional prefix or both) Example: the word "Old" in Old North Main Street. Street Name Pre-Type* A descriptor preceding the street name • Note: Do not use abbreviations.
